Last Minute but Amazing Gift Ideas for the Administrative Professionals in Your Life (Administrative Professionals' Day is this Wednesday!)

Administrative Professionals’ Day is almost upon us – and oh no, working moms who have administrative professionals in their office might be realizing that they haven’t placed an order for flowers or thought of a small gift. Well, I’m here to help with some ideas I’ve done in the past!

I’m going to use Amazon links for all of these ideas (and only Prime eligible items at time of publishing – let’s be real, I’m not about to wait longer than a few days when I need a last minute gift NOW), because I love Amazon and knowing that things are going to get to my home quickly when I need them. I’m also an Amazon Associate, and I do earn from qualifying purchases.

If your budget is under $1/person, and you have multiple people to get gifts for, go with these bath bombs: https://amzn.to/3Q4HztR. You can attach a little piece of paper with the words, “Administrative Professional, you are the bomb!” I did this one a few years ago, and it was very well received. If you want to do the bath bomb idea and spend a little bit more, here is a great link to a bath bomb made by Kohler: https://amzn.to/4aSu0pc.

Last year, I went with the theme of “This office would succ without you.” Yes, I spelled suck like succ – because the gift was succulents! You can use these cute pots (https://amzn.to/3vFKsdT) and then buy some small succulents from your local nursery/Home Depot/hardware store/etc. to pop in there. I also added in other succulent themed items too and did prickly pear candies as well as cactus pens (https://amzn.to/4av6lf2).

Another year I went with the theme, “You make everything pasta-ble.” I got some fun-shaped pasta from the Pastabilities Store (https://amzn.to/3vOgK6q) and other various pasta themed items.

“Administrative Professional, you’re magical” was a theme I did another year. I can’t find the exact item I did for this holiday, but here is an incredibly cute mug that has a unicorn in it that would fit this theme perfectly: https://amzn.to/3JfGjAb.

I used to live by an amazing independent tea shop, and so one year, I got little packets of tea there and attached a note, “Administrative Professional, thank you for always crossing all my t’s.” You can also order tea on Amazon if you don’t have a cute little tea shop by you. If your budget is around $3/person: https://amzn.to/3UiZZtC or if your budget is higher/you want to do some assembly yourself (something I used to have time for and just don’t anymore): https://amzn.to/4auNa4N.

Or, if you want to keep it classic, you can always stop by your favorite local bakery on the way to the office, get a box of pastries, and write across the box in Sharpie, “I donut know what I would do without you, Administrative Professionals.”

If donuts aren’t your thing, you do still have time to reach out to your local florist and order a plant (“Beleaf me, you’re the best, Administrative Professional!”) or flowers (“Administrative Professional, I appreciate how you’ve always rose to the occasion.” – Yes, grammatically incorrect, but you can workshop the rose pun and make it work just fine; I can’t do a better job with a pun right now because I have been dealing with mastitis and then a daycare cold). Also, fun side blurb about your local florist – use them for everything! I love my local florist. If you’re ever planning any kind of event, they are the people you should turn to first because they can tell you everything about everywhere and everyone to work with.
